Our Team | Selçuk Yavuz

Selçuk Yavuz graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Aeronautical Engineering. He began his career at the Delphi Automotive Systems Izmir plant in 1998. During the first years of his 15-year journey at Delphi, he worked as the Production Supervisor for a team of approximately 150 people, and later as the Lean Production Coordinator at the Izmir plant, which employed approximately 1,000 people.

He was an active team member in establishing lean manufacturing examples in collaboration with the European Kaizen team at the Izmir factory, which became known as the “model plant” He then contributed to the lean transformation at the Istanbul and Bursa plants as Turkey’s Lean Production Coordinator.

After working for a total of 9 years as Production and Lean Production Coordinator, he took on the roles of Logistics Supermarket Supervisor and Production Planning and Control Manager. His aim was to strengthen the logistics functions, which significantly impact financial performance and operational efficiency. He focused on standardizing and growing supply chain processes to implement lean principles in non-production functions.

After his tenure at Delphi Automotive Systems, he worked as Logistics Manager at Eldor AFZ in Izmir for about two years. His responsibilities included Production Planning, Material Planning, Import & Export Processes and Warehouse Management.

In 2015, he transitioned to the service sector and began working as Contract Logistics Manager at Yusen İnci Logistics, where he worked for a total of 9 years. He successfully managed the process of tripling the company’s total warehouse area at the Manisa and Izmir locations. Within the Supply Chain, he oversaw processes including bonded warehouses, unbonded warehouses, milk-run operations, and 3PL service designs.

As of 2024, he continues his activities at EGATA Supply Chain Solutions Inc., a company he founded, leveraging his 26 years of expertise in Lean Production and Supply Chain Management.
